Now in its 9th edition, this prestigious initiative supports bright and deserving students admitted to B.E./B.Tech programs at IITs across India.
Program Overview
- Launched in 2009, the Ratti Chhatr Scholarship identifies and empowers talented youth from underprivileged backgrounds.
- Since inception, over 240 students have been supported. One scholar even joined Panasonic’s Innovation Center—testament to the program’s impact.
Who Is Eligible?
- Students who’ve secured admission into B.E./B.Tech courses at any Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for the 2024–25 or 2025–26 sessions.
- Must have scored a minimum of 75% in Class 12. Provisional applications accepted if results are pending.
- Annual family income must be under INR 8,00,000.
- Applicants should have an admission letter and first-semester fee receipt.
- Panasonic and Buddy4Study employees’ children are ineligible.
Scholarship Benefits
- Covers approximately 50% to 70% of tuition fees for engineering studies at IITs.
- Award amount typically ranges around INR 70,250 per year, renewable for up to four years.
