Pay Scale
Rs. 15,600-39,100 PB-3 Rs. 5,400 Grade Pay
Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 36,120/- p.m. approximately
Age
AGE Not exceeding 35 years as on normal closing date. Not
exceeding 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and not
exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal
closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable
for regularly appointed Central/U.T. Government Servant upto Five years
as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.

Essential Qualificaiton (s)
EDUCATIONAL
i Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
ii Diploma in Social Work/Labour Welfare/Industrial Relations/Personnel
Management/Labour Law from a recognized University/Institution or
equivalent.
Desirable Qualificaiton (s)
Degree in law from a recognized University.
Note The qualifications are relaxable at Commission’s discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
Duty(ies)
The CLS Officers discharge statutory functions in the Central
Sphere under various Labour Enactments. Their main function includes
prevention and settlement of Industrial disputes, enforcement of various
Labour Laws and to establish harmonious relation between workers and
management. These Officers are notified as Inspectors, Conciliation
Officers and Appellate Authorities under the various Acts.
Probation
Two years.

Other Details
Group ‘A’ in Grade-V of Junior Time Scale JTS of Central Labour Service CLS. Organized Service. The posts are permanent.
